(Book digitization)

http://blog.pixnet.net/arshloh/post/9847399

These points is identical to what I have said to teacher, a member of academic committee, on the day I signed my contract. It is a pity that school management thinks library and books are the only recognized ways students can use to get information. Their ignoring the development of other media has limited students' development.

World Digital Library
http://www.worlddigitallibrary.org/

World Digital Library is collecting materials from Library of Congress, national libraries of Egypt, Brazil and Russia. It immediately becomes the cultural information centre of the world. I believe Europe will follow or found another platform. While Google tends to collect academic materials, would publishers and retailers found one focusing on recreactional materials, which can be used for retailing and searching?
